The Famous
Sockdartwarrior Battle
(2 to 4 players each with 3 sockdartwarriors) |
|
The sock dart war zone is laid out with string and the sections are marked with numbers. The numbers can be anything that all players agree to, integers, fraction, polynomials, exponents etc.. Also, the sections may be any shape, and you may make as many sections as you all agree to. |
Each
player throws their warriors on the war zone one at a time, and mentally
adds the numbers of where the warriors' right
eyes land. After
the player gets his score, he must remove his warriors to make room for
the next player. The round is over when each player has thrown and recorded
their score. After each complete round, the war zone can be completely reconfigured with new numbers and sections. We recommend taking turns with each player designing at least one war zone. |
It is good luck to talk to your warriors before you throw them. They seem to fly better with a bit of encouragement. |
Players must stand at least 5 feet away from the war zone before throwing. |
*NOTE: The warrior Pinky, has earned 10 points not 20 here, because her right eye is in the 10 section. |
Each player records their score after they throw. The other players must monitor this for accuracy. If another player catches a mistake the current player loses all points for that round. |
An alternate battle field can be drawn outside on a driveway, sidewalk or parking lot You will need to draw your sections using sidewalk chalk. |
When using chalk, it is easier to create multiple sections with lots of different numbers. |
They must also move around the war zone each round. So a player is never throwing from the same spot twice. |
The same rules apply for scoring. Each player must mentally add their score and record it. If they make a mistake and any other player catches it, they lose all points for the round. |
